First time users beware. No signs to say how to pay, lots saying pay or be fined see signs on how to pay but that's it. Apparently it's a pay by phone car park, but as your underground you have no signal so that's not possible, found a sign on the entrance ramp with a location code, but that code wasn't recognised by the app. thankfully the car washer guys pointed me to the office on 1st floor where I could pay. Now I know for next time, but I wasted 15 minutes wandering around looking for signs and a signal to pay. I was only going to be an hour, but due to time wasted had to pay for 3. For those in the know, it's a good spacious carpark.

I use this car park regularly and find it very convenient. It is light and airy with good sized parking bays and easy turning into place. Manned 24 hours, I have always been treated courteously and efficiently. The car park also offers substantial discounts for members of affiliated clubs in the area (eg RAF Club).

Secure underground car park which is exceptionally placed. Easy to use but the spaces aren't particularly generous.

Hi all, Thought I would add a quick update to this thread as I have noticed the VINCI Park Mayfair car park are offering some great deals for Winter Wonderland parking again! I used them last year and was great for me and the family as it was only 5 minutes walk away from Winter Wonderland in the park so was really helpful to get back to the car when the kids were tierd after all the fun! They are offering 20% off weekend and weekday rates if you book online with code Winter12 which means weekday parking is only £23 all day and weekend parking is £9.60 Saturdays and £8 Sundays. I think they are also offering their drive in rate which is £10 for 6 hours parking. I have noticed that Q Park seem to be advertising a deal on the actual winter wonderland site but its £24 all day or £20 for morning or evening which isnt a great deal and their car park is further away... Thanks all!

Fantastic parking spot for seeing London - but then I am biased. I represented 'the contractor' who built it back in 1997.

Used the car park today during the winter wonderland in Hyde Park. Very convenient and the special rates were an absolute bargain. Easy entry just of hyde park corner. 1.9m height was a bit close! Staff very friendly. Review about "rogues" nearly put me off. I am glad it didn't. I thoroughly recommend.

Great weekend car park if pre-booked. £8 all day on Sunday!! 20 mins to Leicester Sq; prob 15 to Marble Arch end of Oxford Street. Next to Hyde park. Courteous guard, car park felt safe, well lit etc.

BUNCH OF ROGUES - DO NOT USE THIS CAR PARK. I accidently double booked this car park, getting my money back was worse & scarier than getting blood out of a stone. Took about 10 phone calls including their head office. No one ever called back. When I finally got throught to car park supervisor he was very rude and actually asked to email him my bank statement!

Parking in London

London is an extremely busy city and driving in the centre is challenging.

Restrictions typically apply between 8.30am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday and from 8.30am to 1.30pm on Saturdays.

Many of London's roads operate 'Pay & Display' schemes, which are expensive for longer stays.

Don't forget about the Congestion Charge and remember that finding a parking space can be tricky!

On-Street (Pay & Display)

Most streets in central London have parking meters, with the parking bay marked out. Some only permit you to use them for a designated amount of time (eg 2 hours) the details will be marked on the meter. In addition, they indicate the times that you need to pay to use them and when you can park free, usually after 18.30.

Please note that many central London areas operate 'Pay by Phone' parking only. In other words, instead of having to put money in a meter or a Pay and Display machine, you can only use your mobile phone to pay for parking.

Commercial Car Parks

Using car parks is often preferable to on-street parking as many roads are reserved for resident permit holders only.

Luckily, there are many car parks in central London. Their locations are indicated on street signs which have a white "P" on a blue background; often there is an arrow indicating which direction you need to go to find the car park.

Congestion Charge

Vehicles which drive within a clearly defined zone of central London between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00, Monday to Friday, have to pay a £11.50 daily Congestion Charge.

Payment of the charge allows you to enter, drive within, and exit the Charging Zone as many times as you wish on that day.

You do not have to pay the charge on weekends, English public holidays, designated non-charging days, or between 18:00 and 07:00.

As you enter the zone, you will see a large letter 'C' in a red circle.

The charge zone currently covers the following areas:  Victoria, St. James’s, Waterloo, Borough, City of London, Clerkenwell, Holborn, Finsbury, Bloomsbury, Soho, Mayfair, and parts of Marylebone.

Use the C-Charge filter on the map to display the Congestion Charge zone on the map.

Further information can be found on the Transport for London website.

Clamping/Towing Away

This is an every day reality in London!

Do not expect to see any extra warning signs to indicate you are in an area with towing away or clamping in force. Remember, park with care in London as tickets cost up to £80 and towing away an extra £125.

West End Shows / Theatre Parking

Q Parks car parks offers a Theatreland Parking Scheme with 50% off car parking charge, up to 24 hours! At the theatre, ask the kiosk staff to validate your paper ticket (they will use a validation machine). Participating car parks are Chinatown, Leicester Square, Marble Arch / Park Lane, Oxford Street, Pimlico, Soho and Trafalgar Square.

Parking at London Airports

London is also home to 5 airports:
