Not enough space to park car .. specially, if you are a patient or pregnant lady is too hard for them to getting in or out in the car .

Causes us to have a heart attack each time we have to use it. Spaces are for mini coopers ONLY yet everyone HAS to own a HUGE TRUCK that takes up a space and 3/4. Makes us late for our appts. should be banned.

AWFUL parking. Not only are there not enough parking spaces to meet demand, the SIZE of the spaces are too small to accommodate vehicles currently using the facility, especially pickup trucks and SUV, this results in vehicles taking more than one space and lots of space unusable. This needs the attention of top Sutter leadership.

Parking in Sacramento

Sacramento can be really congested at times and unless you’re prepared, finding a parking space can be tough. Here is some advice regarding parking in the City of Sacramento and how much it will cost.

Commercial lots and garages in downtown Sacramento charge $4 per hour with a maximum of $21 per day. Look for early bird rates and commuter specials available at downtown garages for cheaper parking! Monthly parking is $130, which is pretty cheap compared to the daily rates at some garages. If you are the proud owner of an EV, you can qualify for special EV vehicle monthly rates.

Sacramento on-street meters accept coins as well as credit or debit cards, depending on the meter type.

  • Short-term meters allow you to stay for a maximum of one hour and cost $1.25
  • Long-term meters have different rates and time limits. These include $3 for 3 hours, $5 max for 4 hours, $5 max for 8 hours and $3 max for 10 hours, $6 max for 10 hours, all depending on the exact location.

To get a better idea regarding parking options in the following Sacramento locations, check out these parking maps: Sacramento International Airport, The Convention Center Complex, The Capitol Mall, the Midtown neighborhood.

Check out the City of Sacramento Parking Enforcement webpage for the steps to follow after receiving a parking citation.
